We have a nearest the pin competition running in the swing room for February and March. Entry is £3 for 3 attempts. The aim is to become the new leader, by beating the distance to the pin set in your handicap division. If your name is on the leaderboard at the end of the month, you have qualified! We currently have 11 qualifiers, with 6 more places available (3 qualifiers each month with February and March still to be determined). Following the Captains Drive In, all spectators will move from the 1st tee and surround the 18th green. Our Golden Shot qualifiers will then take to the 18th tee, and attempt to hold their nerve and each hit just one shot to the 18th pin in front of the sea of spectators. The player who’s ball then finishes nearest to the 18th pin will be crowned our Golden Shot Champion, and will have their 2019/20 subscriptions (up to £935!) paid for by the Pro Shop! Februarys Golden Shot is the 131 Yard Hole #7 at Royal Birkdale. Make sure you get involved next time you’re passing through the shop, and turn £3 into £935! |
